Quartz surfaces are a new category
of surfacing material that combines the beauty and durability
of natural quartz crystals with custom colorants to create an
exceptionally stain, scratch and heat-resistant surface. Dozens
of colors are available, from natural tones to dramatic hues,
and the surface appearance is uniform and consistent.
Like solid surface, quartz surfaces
are totally non-porous and never need resealing like natural stone.
Large expanses of quartz surfacing will have visible but discreet
seams. Quartz surfaces normally have a glossy finish, but some
are available in a honed (matte) finish. Quartz surfaces are even
available with hand-placed inlays of semi-precious stones for
a one-of-a-kind accent piece.
Quartz surfacing is available
from Art-Tech Surfacing with 2 standard edge treatments to choose
from, and many custom edges. We invite you to visit the links
we’ve provided to view the color palette of each manufacturer
listed above.
Sinks utilized in quartz surfacing
are usually undermount or drop-in stainless
steel. However, solid surface sinks, composite sinks and other
types can be mounted in a quartz countertop.
Quartz surfacing is cleaned
with a damp cloth. Generally, non-bleach, non-abrasive cleaners
can remove most stubborn dried stains. A specific Care and Use
Kit is provided by each manufacturer for their particular surface
and finish.
All products offered by Art-Tech
Surfacing carry a minimum 10-year material warranty.
